WAXERS, WE’VE MADE THIS PAGE SHOPPABLE JUST FOR YOU!
Strip–Sugar is a game changer. Why? Put simply, for a waxer, Strip–Sugar replaces wax.
Give a client the option of an all natural, environmentally friendly, bio-degradable product or a synthetic, wasteful, non-renewable one. Which one will they choose?
Give a waxer those same options with the added bonus of a quick and easy clean up and never burning a client. Which one will they choose?
Most importantly, Strip–Sugar works! Once a waxer applies a thin layer of Strip–sugar, covers it with a muslin cloth and strips it away, the smooth skin left behind will convince them that wax, in all its various forms, is a thing of the past.
Body Sugaring naturally leaves behind empty hair follicles. These open pores are susceptible to inflammation and invading bacteria. SugarSMAC Tonic is the perfect safeguard!
SugarSMAC Tonic has been called, “A deep, quenching drink for the skin.” It is the optimal balm for Sugared skin, loaded with ingredients dedicated to protection from infection and ingrowns.
Anyone who has ever been SugarSMAC Sugared understand that TONIC & LOTION are like two peas in a pod! We can’t imagine one without the other. SugarSMAC Lotion was created as the perfect companion for our Tonic. Once the skin has drunk deeply of the Tonic it is ready to be further soothed and protected by the Lotion from moisture loss.
SugarSMAC Lotion means lush, vibrant skin!
SugarSMAC Cleanser can seem like an enigma; a potent and efficient cleanser that somehow also manages to be mild and non-irritating. Sugarists who have used other cleansers have marvelled that it only takes half as much SugarSMAC Cleanser to prep the skin for Sugaring!
It works to remove oils, lotions, deodorants and dirt so that the paste can effectively adhere to the hair shaft. It is infused with tea tree essential oil to help eliminate bacteria and prevent ingrown hairs.
SugarSMAC Cleanser is the first step in the Sugaring process; completely biodegradable and Earth friendly!
Most skin requires some special attention prior to Sugaring, and SugarSMAC Powder is happy to oblige. Sugar paste is most effective when it does not contend with excess moisture or oils on the skin. Even after cleansing, the skin can continue to perspire and secrete oils. Only a small amount of Powder is needed to absorb this moisture and oil, and prepare the skin for optimal Sugaring.
SugarSMAC Powder is the second step in the Sugaring process; talc-free and environmentally friendly!
When a master Sugarist has been at work, and when the SugarSMAC Tonic, Lotion and Ultra Exfoliating Soap have been faithfully applied, ingrown hairs should be few and far between. However, from time to time a little help is needed. Our Serum specifically targets ingrown hairs by gently exfoliating and removing dead skin that may be preventing a hair from growing properly.
Brazilians are beautiful! If only they would last. To add insult to injury, some Brazilians announce their return with an exasperating itch that simply refuses to be ignored. But no need to despair! SugarSMAC introduces, “Don’t Scratch Your Sn*tch!” An all-natural, soothing, anti-inflammatory blend of potent, vitamin rich carrier oils and calming CO2 extracts. With only a few drops this non-oily, light weight healer fully absorbs into the skin within minutes, and has beautifully performed its task of alleviating that demanding and annoying urge.
Sometimes the name says it all… “Don’t Scratch Your Sn*tch!”
Everyone loves our soap, and it’s not hard to see why. SugarSMAC’s Ultra Exfoliating Soap Bar will leave your skin moisturized, without stripping away your natural oils the way most commercial soaps do. This hand-made soap bar is loaded with ground loofah to exfoliate away dry, loose skin cells, and to scour away anything that might be clogging your pores. It is also infused with tea tree oil, which brings antiseptic and healing properties. Working together, these properties make our bar ideally suited for people with coarse hair, for those who are prone to ingrowns, and for anyone who loves to exfoliate their skin to baby-like softness.
You also need to know that our soap packaging was thoroughly researched. Made from eucalyptus bark, it is biodegradable, just like the soap! It is also breathable. Even though each soap bar is individually heat-sealed in its packaging for freshness, it continues to cure and harden as it waits to invigorate your skin.

That’s why we’ve placed a focus on education at the root of our business. Sharing our knowledge will help you make informed recommendations for your clients. Below we have addressed some of the most important distinctions in our comparison of sugaring vs waxing.
The wax used for hair removal contains some less than desirable chemicals: petroleum, derived from paraffin; resins, such as pine, gum or honey-resin; and preservatives. These resins function as adhesives and are not water-soluble. Consequently, they adhere not only to the loose, dead skin cells, but also to the functional skin cells. This often results in irritation and redness. These resins also make for a difficult clean-up, and often leave the skin feeling sticky.
Body Sugaring is an all-natural hair removal system. SugarSMAC paste is proudly all-natural because it contains no synthetic chemicals. It has a simple list of ingredients: sugar, water and lemon.
Wax is applied to a person’s skin in the direction of the hair growth, and is removed in the opposite direction. This method can cause the hair shaft to break, leading to more instances of ingrown hairs as well as increased pain to the client.
When sugaring, the paste is applied to the skin in the opposite direction of hair growth, and removed with the direction of hair growth. Removing the hair in this manner results in less breakage, cleaner hair extraction, and best of all, is less painful than waxing.
Most wax technicians will reuse the wax applicator, double dipping it into the jar of wax. Double dipping, combined with the warm jar, creates an optimal environment for bacteria to breed. Bacteria can cause skin irritations and in extreme cases, infections.
The paste is also water-soluble, making for an easy clean-up. Using water-soluble paste has another important benefit: it only adheres to the loose, dead skin cells, leaving the functional skin cells intact, and resulting in less skin irritation and soft, supple skin. In fact, SugarSMAC paste is gentle enough to go over the same area several times without causing irritation. This allows for the removal of the finest hairs.
The sugar paste container itself is a sanitary environment that helps prevent bacteria from breeding.
A sugar practitioner will always put a clean glove into the sugar jar, further keeping it clean and free from contamination.
Wax must be heated to a high temperature to liquify. As a result, there is the real risk of burning the client. The heat can also cause the skin to swell, making hair removal even more difficult and painful.

We’re passionate about sugaring and we’re equally passionate about education – it’s a huge part of our mission. Want to graduate from our shop for waxers to our full collection for professional sugarists? This is exactly where to start!
If you were to peek into our medicine cabinet, you would see how serious we are about using all-natural ingredients. Our Professional and Boutique line of products were created to deliver results. We spent years researching and testing high potency ingredients so that we could bring their amazing properties to sugared skin.
Lavender is a highly regarded essential oil known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. One of the most prized herbs, lavender is also known for its healing and calming properties.
Chamomile contains azulene, a powerful anti-inflammatory agent. It works to take the edge off, while healing the skin. It acts as a potent remedy for inflammatory conditions, and also helps balance sebum production. Its healing and protective benefits, combined with its gentleness and a low likelihood of allergic reaction, make it a powerful ingredient.
Calendula is widely used in skincare because of its incredible ability to heal. It is also known for its ability to brighten skin and protect from blemishes. It is calming and helps sooth irritations.
This essential oil rightly deserves its reputation as a cure-all. Remember the tea tree craze of the ‘90s? There’s a reason for it. Tea tree oil works as an extremely powerful anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial agent.
We are excited to announce that SugarSMAC has just released our newest product: “Don’t Scratch Your Sn*tch”! Brazilians are beautiful! If only they would last.
Most clients who are inexperienced with waxing or sugaring will have an expectation of 100% smooth and hair-free skin after their first appointment. Unfortunately, this
Elena Daase, the founder of SugarSMAC Professional® Body Sugaring, began her career in Esthetics in 1998. In 2000, a dear friend introduced Elena to Body Sugaring. After one session, she was hooked! It was an experience that would change her life and the entire trajectory of her career. The more she learned about the practice and benefits of Sugaring, the more she realized that Body Sugaring would transform the world of hair removal! In the years that followed, Elena’s knowledge and skill would continue to grow, fuelling her passion for Body Sugaring.
After a decade of mastering the Art of Sugaring, Elena recognized a void in the beauty industry. She perceived the need for a company that would combine the highest standard of education and certification with an exclusive product line tailored to Sugared skin. SugarSMAC was created to ensure that everyone would have the best possible Sugaring experience.
Elena’s background in esthetics and passion for skin care drove her to create an all-natural line of products, specifically designed for the healing and nurturing of Sugared skin. By avoiding fillers and parabens, and using pure ingredients such as Calendula, Chamomile, and Lavandula, SugarSMAC products have become a proven formula for luxurious and effective skin care. The years of dedicated research have led to a loyal following, who christened the SugarSMAC line, “liquid gold”.
Thank you for choosing SugarSMAC!
Elena started off her career as an esthetician. 15 years ago she was introduced to sugaring and it completely changed the direction of her life. She created her own line of sugar paste, and began training young sugaring practitioners across the country. SugarSMAC was born! She realized how impactful sugaring could be in helping women with sensitive skin, or prone to ingrown’s, find a gentler form of hair removal. Throughout her career she has specialized in Brazilians, doing far more than she can count, and has strived to make every experience as comfortable and pain-free as possible for every person who enters her room. She is currently the owner of a popular sugaring salon in Langley, B.C., The Lily Bar.
Jason Daase became involved with SugarSMAC® after catching the vision from Elena of what a world-class Sugaring company could be. Prior to his involvement in SugarSMAC, Jason was an educator for 23 years who had a passion for training the next generation to be lifelong learners and critical thinkers. He has used his skill set to help guide the SugarSMAC certification programme, and to cast an exciting new vision for the future of the company. He is committed to increasing the prominence of Body Sugaring in the esthetics industry, and to making SugarSMAC Professional® Body Sugaring a household name.
Billie Jo is an industry veteran and has spent her entire working life in the esthetics industry. She began her esthetics career working in, and later running, her mother’s salon, Diane’s Hair Co. She operated it for 20 years, until she passed it on to her younger sister in September of 2020. Billie-Jo has been a large part of SugarSMAC since the early days of the company! Paired up with Elena, the two of them established a loyal customer base in Winnipeg which then quickly spread through Manitoba and Canada. In 2017, she opened up her own sugaring salon in Winnipeg, where she now runs a successful sugaring business and teaches monthly SugarSMAC sugaring courses. If you are lucky enough to take the Winnipeg sugaring course you will be in for a real treat!
